To whom am I writing? لمن أكتب

 

Recently I started to feel that I have some important ideas to share with my friends and the globe maybe :). Therefore I decided to add a blog to my personal website to start blogging.Of course any writer should think in the readers who will read his articles or posts, therefore he always thinks in the question: To whom am I writing? Who will read what I write?

منذ مدة وأنا أفكر أن عندي بعض الأفكار ربما أنا بحاجة لأن أتشاركها مع أصدقائي أو مع العالم :) ،لذلك قررت أخيراً أن أضيف لموقعي الشخصي مدونة وأن أدون. ولا شك أن كل من يكتب مقالة أو يخط سطوراً يفكر بمن سيقرأ ما سيكتبه ويتبادر له دائماً سؤال فحواه أن لمن أكتب؟ من سيقرأ؟ـ

Before answering this question I want to go back to the childhood years. As children we used to think of being famous writers, journalists, soccer players, or actors. The reason behind that is the influence of TV cartoons or programs. For example children of my generation who were influenced by "Sandybell" wanted to be journalists or artists. Others who were influenced by "Captain Tsubasa" wanted to be soccer players and so on. But when we grow up we discover that such profession don't guarantee affluent life in the developing countries. Therefore we usually start to repeat our parents desires to be a Physician or an engineer. The reality is something different. What decides our professions is our marks in the baccalaureate. We may regret our choices and we may be proud of them. But inside some of us there is still a writer who believes that he has some ideas which may change the world if it found a way to be published. I feel the same sometimes :). Actually one's ideas may not affect anybody even if it is published. Previously , at the time of paper based publications only, it was difficult to be a writer. Only professional writers may convince a journal or a magazine editor to publish their important ideas. But after the so called "revolution of the information and communication", blogs appeared. Blogs gave a chance to many people to express and publish their ideas. Maybe the number of readers is limited to the poster friends and some few passing through readers who by chance get - via a searching engine - to read a post or article of those infamous writers. Some bloggers had a chance to be famous on the other hand. After that "Facebook" and "twitter" encouraged a big number of people to express their ideas via short or long posts. Some people became addicted to express a lot of opinions and ideas eventhough sometimes they are based on insufficient information or ignorance. So, things became more like published gossips and people will feel happy to get likes and comments. As a person living in this era, I though to fill the wall of my Facebook with some long or short articles to express my ideas. But the problem with Facebook is that it is a social network with limited environment tools regarding archiving and writing long well shaped articles. Moreover, most of the posts in Facebook are shared among added friends unless you make your posts "public". Since I have ideas that may change the world and I prefer to keep an archive of them to read again after some long time maybe, I decided to write them in a blog. So, the question answer is: I write to myself to review my ideas by time. I write my ideas in a blog not in a diary as I used to do because I think my ideas will help in changing the world. Actually, I do not mean the global world because I am not a professional Intellectual, but I mean my own world and the world of few friends and few passing through readers who by chance may get to read a post of me. To whom am I writing? I am writing to you who read this. I may know you, I may not, and maybe my dear reader you are nobody but me :).

قبل أن أجيب على هذا السؤال أريد ان أعود لسن الطفولة. فكأطفال طالما راودنا حلم الكاتب المشهور واللاعب المشهور والفنان المشهور، وسبب ذلك التأثر ببعض أفلام الرسوم المتحركة أو المسلسلات أو البرامج التلفزيونية. فأطفال جيلي من كان يتابع منهم "ساندي بل" يقرر أن يصبح صحفياً أو رساماً ثم من تابع "الكابتن ماجد" قرر أن يصبح لاعباً ومن تابع حفل توزيع الأوسكار قرر أن يصبح نجماً يخطف الأضواء وهكذا... ثم نكبر قليلاً لنعلم أن هذه المهن لا تطعم خبزاً في بلادنا كما يقولون فنقرر أن نكرر كما يكرر أهلنا أننا سنصبح أطباء أو مهندسين. لكن الواقع أن تختار لنا علاماتنا في الثانوية العامة ما سنكون. قد نندم وقد نسعد لكن أياً ما نكون يبقى في داخل بعض منا كاتب يؤمن بأن لديه أفكاراً هامة قد تغير العالم لو وجدت طريقها للنشر رغم أن أفكاره قد لا تصل لأحد حتى لو نشرت. وأنا أحس بذلك أحيانا :).ـ لم يكن الأمر سهلاً فيما مضى فطريقة النشر الوحيدة هي المطبوعات الورقية التي لا تنشر لمن هب ودب بل فقط لكتاب محترفين. وللأسف لقراء محدودين في عالمنا العربي الذي يشتري الجريدة ليحل الكلمات المتقاطعة. لكن بعد ما يسمى بثورة المعلومات والاتصالات ظهرت المدونات الالكترونية التي تتيح مجالاً حراً للنشر لكن مع قراء أقل هذه المرة فلا أحد يتابع مدونة أحد إلا بضعة أصدقاءه وربما أشخاص عابرون قادهم بحثهم في محركات البحث إليها. وهذه بقيت محدودة الاستعمال في وسط أصدقائي على الأقل. ثم جاء التويتر والفيس بووك ليتحول إلى بيئة تفاعلية لتشارك الأفكار والكتابات ولينطلق العديد من الناس للتعبير عن أنفسهم من خلال منشورات صغيرة أو كبيرة حتى وصل الأمر حد اللغو والإفراط فانطلق كل يكتب ويتشارك ويعبر عن علم أحياناً وعن جهل أحياناً أكثر. وكم تزداد سعادة أحدهم إذا حصل على عدد جيد من الإعجابات والتعليقات. وكواحد من أبناء هذا الزمان فكرت بالبدء من الفيس بووك، لكن مشكلة الفيس بووك أنه موقع تفاعل اجتماعي أي لا يقدم بيئة مناسبة لمقالات طويلة ولا يحتفظ بأرشيف كالمدونات. كما أن غالبية من يكتب فيه يكتب للأصدقاء الذين يضيفهم فقط ما لم يجعل المنشورات ذات خاصية الاتاحة العامة للجميع. وبما أنني أملك أفكاراً قد تغير العالم وأحب أن أحتفظ بأرشيف ما أكتب لأعود إليه، سأكتب في مدونة.ـ فجواب السؤال إذاً، أنني سأكتب لنفسي لأراجع أفكاري وسأجعلها في مدونة لا في دفتر مذكرات خاص بي كما اعتدت لأنني أظن أن بعض ما سأكتب سيساعد في تغيير العالم. ليس كل العالم طبعاً فأنا لست كاتباً ولا مفكراً محترفاً لكن أفكاري ستغير عالمي وربما عالم عدد قليل من بضعة أصدقائي وبضعة أشخاص عابرين سيقودهم بحثهم في محركات البحث إلي. إذا لمن أكتب؟ أكتب لك يا من تقرأ سواء أعرفتك أم لا وقد تكون يا قارئي شخصاًَ وحيداً هو أنا :) .
